Personal Chef (Seasonal) East Hampton, NY
Base Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 /Hour
Description:
Private family seeks part-time Private Chef (on a seasonal basis) for their Hamptons residence. Responsibilities include:
• Create fresh seasonal meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for a full time schedule
• Work with the family’s Personal Assistant to coordinate weekly menus
• Event production for social and religious gatherings, political fundraisers, and philanthropic events
• Work schedule is 3-4 days weekly, mostly weekends, with flexibility for overtime as needed
• Living accommodations are provided for live-in
• Position is seasonal: Memorial Day (March 31) through Labor Day (September 6)
Salary is generous, but dependent upon experience.
Requirements
• Classical cooking background with vegetarian experience
• Min 5 years related experience working as a Chef within a private residence
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers
• Degree from an accredited culinary school
• Strong restaurant experience
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Must be OK with children and pets (no allergies)
